IWishing
to encourage her young son's
progress on the piano, a mother took
him to a concert featuring a famous
pianist. After they were seated, the
mother spotted a friend in the
audience and went down the aisle to
greet her.
Seizing the opportunity to
explore the wonders of the concert
hall, the little boy rose and
eventually explored his way through
a door marked 'No Admittance'. When
the house lights dimmed and the
concert was about to begin, the
mother returned to her seat and
discovered that her son was missing.
The curtains parted and
spotlights focused on the impressive
grand piano on stage. In horror, the
mother saw her little boy sitting at
the keyboard, innocently picking out
"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". At
that moment the great piano master
made his entrance, quickly moved to
the piano, and whispered in the
boy's ear, "Don't quit. keep
playing."
Then, leaning over, the great
pianist reached down with his left
hand and started filling in a bass
part. Soon his right arm reached
around to the other side of the
child and he added a running
obbligato. Together the old master
and the young novice transformed a
frightening situation into a
wonderfully creative experience. The
audience was mesmerized.
That's the way it is with God.
What we can accomplish on our own is
hardly noteworthy. We try our best,
but the results aren't exactly
graceful, flowing music. But with
the hand of the Master, our life's
work truly can be beautiful. Next
time you set out to accomplish great
feats, listen carefully. You can
hear the voice of the Master
whispering in your ear, 'Don't quit.
Keep playing.' Feel His loving arms
around you. Know that His strong
hands are playing the concerto of
your life.
Remember, God doesn't call the
equipped, He equips the called.
He'll always be there to love and
guide you on to great things. Keep
the faith, and keep playing.
Together, you and The Master will
make beautiful music. |
一个母亲为著鼓励她的儿子在弹钢琴上的学习，她就带他去一位著名钢琴家的音乐会。当他们正在坐下的时候，这位母亲发现在观众里有一个相熟的朋友，於是便马上走过去打招呼。
小孩见到有机会可以在音乐厅到处逛逛，就离开他的座位，直至见到面前有一扇关上的门，上面写著“闲人免进”。当厅里的灯光变暗音乐会快要开始的时候，母亲回到她的座位，那时却发现不见了她的儿子。
台上的幕打开了，射灯照著台上的钢琴。突然，母亲发现到自己的儿子正坐在钢琴座上，天真的弹“闪闪小星”。那时大家专敬的钢琴家已经出场，他很快走到钢琴旁边，他低声对小孩说：「继续弹，不要停。」
然後，这位钢琴家弯著腰，用他的左手弹低音那部份，又很快他的右手绕在小孩的右边，开始弹高音那部份。一齐两人将一个紧张的情景变成一个美妙而有创意的经验。
神与我们的关系也是一样。我们所能做到的微不足道。尽了自己全部的力量，最後结果也不一定流顺悦耳。但是有了主的帮助，我们的生命就变得美妙丰盛。下一次你有甚麽大的挑战，先用你的耳朵细听，主会低声跟你打气：「不要放弃，继续努力吧！」用你的心来感受他的拥抱，你知道，他一双强壮的手正为你弹你生命的乐章哪！
不要忘记，主并不呼召那些已经预备好的，他预备他所呼召的。他一定会爱你和领导你做更大的事。保守你的信心，继续弹你的乐章。主与你一齐必定可以创造美妙的音乐。 |
